Day 01 – Arrival To BIA – Negombo (Approx. drive time - 30 Minutes/ Distance -20 Km) You will be warmly welcomed at the air-port by our representative and will be headed to Negombo. Close proximity to the international airport ensures that the long sandy beaches of the Negombo coast have become one of the most popular beach resorts on the island. The landscape is varied and enchanting with tranquil blue lagoons, inland wetlands, and coconut plantations. Near the waterfront, the remains of the 17th-century Dutch Fort now house as a prison. Negombo Lagoon, lined with fishermen’s huts, feeds into the Dutch-era Hamilton Canal leads south to Colombo. Enjoy your fist night at Negombo. Over Night stay in Negombo (01 Night). Day 02 & 03 –Negombo / Wilpattu / Kalpitiya (Approx. drive time - 3. 30 Hours/ Distance -140 Km) After having breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to Kalpitiya, the kite surfing paradise in Sri Lanka. In the evening you are visiting Wilpattu National Park which is famous for its leopard population. So have your camera ready to capture the best of the best. Wilpattu National Park providing natural habitats for a variety of ‘big game’ including leopards, elephants, water buffalo and many species of birds.Kalpitiya has a varied and enchanting landscape - tranquil blue lagoons that meet the waters of the Indian Ocean, scattered little islands off the coast, inland wetlands, and Coconut plantations. The lagoons are famous for its harvest of lobsters, crabs and prawns, and a variety of fish. Kalpitiya is home to Dolphins, Whales, stingrays and several species of Marine turtles. Over Night Stay at Kalpitiya (02 Nights) Day 04 – Kalpitiya - Ritigala – Habarana (Approx. drive time – 4.30 Hours/ Distance -200 Km) After breakfast you will be heading to visit Ritiigala mountain range ancient Buddhist monastery complex. There is a chance to enjoy spicy taste Sri Lankan style traditional lunch and our representative will arrange the needful for that. In the evening, when you are reaching to Habarana, hot air ballooning ride will be waiting for you. Over Night stay at Habarana (01 Night) Day 05 & 06 – Habarana - Trincomalee (Approx. drive time – 2 Hours/ Distance -90 Km) After having breakfast at the hotel you will precede to Trincomalee the eastern coastal line Sri Lanka. The North East coast is distinctly different from the coastal areas of rest of the island. In a long peak season that extends from March to December, bask in the sun on the secluded beaches of Trincomalee, go snorkeling and discover the magnificent marine life around the coral reefs, or take a whale-watching expedition. It is not all about the sun and surf on the North East Coast. Explore ancient Hindu temples dating back centuries, and the breathtaking views of the Trincomalee harbor – the world’s deepest and largest natural harbor. Over Night stay at Trincomalee (02 Nights) Day 07 -09 – Trincomalee– Arugam Bay (Approx. drive time – 5 Hours/ Distance -260 Km) After enjoying breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to Ceylon surfer’s paradise Arugam Bay. Arugam Bay on Sri Lanka’s South East Coast is famously known as one of ten top surf spots paradise in the world. The ideal seasonal time of surfing in Arugam bay is April to December in every year. The relatively isolated beaches and a simple, laid-back Life style away from the main tourist haunts. An international surfing competition being held annually in July by the UK Pro – Surfers association’s Sri Lanka surf Championship. Explore ancient ruins and rock sculptures dating back centuries, as well as untouched wilderness where elephant roam free. Over Night stay at Arugam Bay (03 Nights) Day 10 – Arugam Bay – Udawalawe (Approx. drive time – 04 Hours/ Distance -190 Km) After enjoying the breakfast at the hotel you will be travelling to Udawalawe. Elephant Transit Home (ETH) in Udawalawa takes care of orphaned elephant calves until they are independent and able enough to be released back to the wild. With minimum resources and manpower, ETH has successfully grown to be a successful entity in a short period. It has been recognized as one of best wild animal rehabilitation centers in the world. Visit Udawalawe elephant transit home and evening enjoy Wild life safari at Udawalawe National Park. Over Night Stay At Udawalawa (01 Night) Day 11 – Udawalawe – Ella (Approx. drive time – 2.15 Hours/ Distance -100Km) After enjoying the breakfast at the hotel, you will be travelling to Ella. Ella is a small town in the Badulla District and the area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. And also the mist in the Ella rock always invites you to feel its romance. Ella Gap is one of the most spectacular scenic sights in Sri Lanka - the landscape falls away in a dizzy drop of 3000ft to the eastern plains. Rawana Water Fall, Little Adam’s Peak, Nine Arch bridge are most attractive site in Ella. Feel Free to roam Ella city at night. Over Night Stay at Ella (01 Night) Day 12 Ella – Nuwara Eliya (Approx. drive time – 2 Hours/ Distance -60 Km After enjoying breakfast at the hotel you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya which is better known as Little England of Sri Lanka. The cool climate, mountainous surroundings, and Victorian architecture of this area are totally different than other areas of the country. Tea growing hills and upcountry vegetable farms are shown the uniqueness of the Nuwara Eliya. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this Park. Seasons may be absent elsewhere in Sri Lanka, but here you can read them by the flowers, which bloom in the spring (March to May) and the fall (August and September). Over Night Stay at Nuwara – Eliya (01 Night) Day 13 & 14 – Nuwara Eliya – Kithulgala (Approx. drive time – 3 Hours/ Distance -85 Km) After enjoying breakfast at the hotel you will be travelling to white water rafting city Kithulgala. Kithulgala is situated in the western foothills, sandwiched between the west coast and the central highlands. This is an area of rolling hills, tropical rainforests and wind in drivers. The sleepy riverside village of Kithulgala owes its popularity to the Kelani River which offers exciting Grade 3 and 4 rapids for rafting. Rafting mixes the ups and downs of rapids with calm sections perfect for looking at the tea and rubber plantations or mountains covered in jungle rainforest Over Night Stay at Kithulgala (02 Nights ) Day 15 - 17 –Kithulgala – Bentota – Hikkaduwa (Approx. drive time – 04 Hours/ Distance 140Km) After enjoying breakfast at the hotel you will be proceed to Hikkaduwa via Bentota. The sandy beaches are the main attraction in the string of small towns such as Kalutara, Beruwela, Bentota, Ambalangoda, Ahungalla and Hikkaduwa western coastal lines. Bentota is an ideal place for water sports such as Jet skey riding, water snorkeling, deep sea diving, scuba diving, canoeing. With the excursion of Hikkaduwa you may get experience of the marvelous under water paradise with diving scuba diving and glass boat ride. Over Night Stay At Beruwala (03 Nights) Day 18 – Bentota – Colombo & BIA (Approx. drive time – 2Hours/ Distance -85 Km) After enjoying breakfast at the hotel you will be travelling to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls. Colombo is a busy and vibrant place with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins. Finally Head down to the airport departure terminal from Colombo.
