Day 01  – BIA Arrival / Negombo  (Approx. Drive Time – 30 Minutes  / Distance 20Kms)

You will be warmly welcomed at the air-port by our representative and will be headed to Negombo. Close proximity to the international airport ensures that the long sandy beaches of the Negombo coast have become one of the most popular beach resorts on the island. The landscape is varied and enchanting with tranquil blue lagoons, inland wetlands, and coconut plantations. Near the waterfront, the remains of the 17th-century Dutch Fort now house as a prison. Negombo Lagoon, lined with fishermen’s huts, feeds into the Dutch-era Hamilton Canal leads south to Colombo. Enjoy your fist night at Negombo.

Day 02 – Negombo / Anuradhapura  (Approx. Drive Time – 04 Hours  / Distance 175 Kms)

After Breakfast start Travel to Anuradhapura where the best sights of incredible history and heritage of Sri Lanka are promised. The fascinating ancient city of Anuradhapura was the first capital of the Sinhala kings, and undoubtedly the grandest city of ancient Sri Lanka. The sprawling complex contains a delightful array of treasures from Buddhist stupa, evocative decaying temples and attractive ancient pools. Here you'll also find Sri Maha Bodhi, the Sacred Bo-Tree, Highlights of the complex include the 1,600 stone columns of Brazen Palace, Ruwanweli Sthupa, Isurumuniya rock temple, The finest of the carved stone figures and moon stones. The largest numbers of ancient monuments of Anuradhapura are depicted great Sinhala civilization which flourished in this region bearing with UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 03 – Anuradhpura /Mihinthale / Yapahuwa  (Approx. Drive Time – 2.5 Hours / Distance 90 Kms)

Mihintale is the place where Buddhism was introduced officially to Sri Lanka in the year of 247 BC. Since then Mihintale is considered as the cradle of Buddhist civilization of the country.  It was the first ever monastery complex - Rock monastery. It is the first ever declared sanctuary and continued up-to-date in the world.

After having lunch we will be heading to Yapahuva, the capital of 13^th century in Sri Lanaka. You will be marvel about the steep ornamental staircase of this dramatic rock fortress and its finest features of Temple of the Tooth relic. Highlights of the site include the steep steps, elaborately adorned by statues of lions in an unusual design, modern temple complex and the breath-taking views from the top.

Day 04 –  Yapahuwa /Dambulla / Habarana  (Approx. Drive Time – 2.5 Hours / Distance 90 Kms)

Habarana is one of the main tourism hubs of Sri Lanka. It gives the directions for several UNESCO world heritage sites named Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla Cave temple. Habarana is a central point for all these heritage sites. This is the ideal location to visit largest Asian Wild Elephants herds. This is a home for numerous Star class hotels, Villas, Boutique type hotels, Camping sites and Home stays. You are privileged to wander around the Hiriwaduna village in Habarana to experience the real atmosphere of a rural village with delicious Sri Lankan food and fresh air.  En Reroute we will visit Dambulla Golden Rock Temple, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sri Lanka.

Day 05 –  Habarana / Polonnaruwa / Habarana  (Approx. Drive Time – 01 Hour / Distance 50 Kms)

After Enjoy breakfast, start excursion to Polonnaruwa 10^th century capital of Sri lanka. You'll find the archaeological park a delight to explore, with hundreds of ancient structures – tombs and temples, statues and stupas. Evening Leave to discover the wilderness of Minneriya national park and witness the mighty Elephants, beautiful peacocks, deer, buffaloes and many other wild animals in a safari ride.

Day 06  – Habarana / Sigiriya / Kandy (Approx. Drive Time – 2 Hours / Distance 80 Kms)

Early morning visit Sigiriya to See the Sun rise. Sigiriya is a “UNESCO World Heritage Site” and the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of this Paradise Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace on the summit of the 600-foot high rock. This is the place for ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of 21 life sized damsels still shining in their original colors. The Water Gardens, Fountain Garden, summer houses, Boulder Gardens and the Caves within the enclosed area should not be missed.

Day 07  –  Kandy  (Approx. Drive Time – 30 Minutes  / Distance 20Kms)

The temple of tooth relic which is considered as the foremost sacred place of worship for Buddhists is situated in the Kandy city. The hill capital is a “Living World Heritage Site”. It was the last stronghold capital of the Sinhalese Kings during the Portuguese, Dutch and British rule and finally ceded to the British in 1815 after an agreement. Explore Kandy city by Tuk Tuk and pay a visit to the Temple of the Tooth. Round off the evening, with a cultural performance full of traditional dancers and drummers.

Day 08 – Kandy / Colombo (Approx. Drive Time – 04 Hours  / Distance 120Kms)

Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. A drive through the city will take you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential Cinnamon Gardens and the Galle face green. The heritage is reflected in its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls.   Day 09 – Colombo / Departure (Approx. Drive Time – 1 Hours / Distance 35 Kms)
